Mrs. Fairbank's has been approved 725 monkeys for her experiment. She claims she is researching psychological, psychiatric and social problems (such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, substance abuse, criminality and violence) by looking at the ways in which hundreds of monkeys behave in a "complex natural social system." Fairbanks must not realize that cages are not the natural habitat for monkeys and their behaviors are seriously affected by captivity. Furthermore, it is shocking that a researcher is using animals to study social problems unique to humans. Ask Fairbanks about alcoholism and bank robberies in monkeys.
