UCLA vivisector Peter Anton is the head of a consortium that is attempting to develop a rectal microbicide for AIDS. This is a phase-type toxicity experiment, and one of the phases is in macaque monkeys. This study has three corporate sponsors: Biosyn, Inc., Gilead Sciences, and Tibotec-Virco. There are no published papers regarding this specific consortium yet, but it is clear that this study will involve forcing this microbicide up the rectums of highly sentient and emotional macaque monkeys. Monkeys do not get AIDS from HIV, and using them as a model of HIV will produce no meaningful research for people and only induce horrific fear and misery in nonhuman primates. As a key figure of this consortium, Anton's hands are not clean and he is to blame for their misery.
