UCLA Stall Wrap Up!

A " Stall " is what activists in the UK activists call an educational outreach table for animals. So in keeping with our brothers and sisters across the pond, we'll be calling these tabling events "stalls" as well!

On a bright sunny day, (which was not so bright and sunny for the primates imprisoned inside UCLA), activists spent several hours educating the public and gathering signatures to stop primate vivisection at UCLA. Activists got pages of signatures and educated hundreds of people, as this is a very busy corner  in the bustling UCLA college town of Westwood  in Los Angeles, California.  Several large groups of high-school students, visiting UCLA (thinking about attending the university next year) were given information as to the gruesome, evil and fraudulent primate experimentation going on inside this regressive university. Several doctors who worked at UCLA came by and stated that animal experimentation has never helped their patients' and agreed with our cause (but refused to sign the petition as they didn't want to bring attention to themselves in case UCLA regents found out that they signed it.) One fellow who took a flyer stated he was going to begin working in one of the labs and wanted to know more about what goes on inside!

Of course activists encountered a few of the terminally stupid, who said things like "What are they supposed to do, test bleach on humans?" Or, "Don't you eat meat, it's the same thing?" Or the best one of the day, "Get a life!" To that, the activists responded "Get a heart, get some compassion, get a diploma, get an education!".

Activists also encountered a few students who were visibly shaken by what they learned; one, a smoker, had the realization that he was supporting an industry that tested nicotine on primates at his university and was very upset. He stated that he was going to go inside the labs and see for himself; we said "Good Luck, but not much chance of that" as UCLA keeps their animal laboratories under very tight security, as the last thing UCLA wants is for the public to see what they do to primates and other animals in their evil institution.

Activists stated that spending the afternoon educating the public was well worth the effort and the only thing that ruined their amusement was knowing that directly inside the entryway to UCLA, laboratories are holding primates and other animals in steel cages against their will, where they are terrified, lonely and suffering from the pain and agony of the experiments they are being forced to undergo, for no other reason than UCLA being able to procure more grant money from the pockets of taxpayers.

Until the next time. . . .
