A small but determined group of activists held a large banner and some posters depicting what occurs inside UCLA's primate labs, while others leafleted at Santa Monica College Tuesday afternoon. It was the college's graduation ceremony - and guess who was delivering the commencement address? None other then Gene D. Block, the newest chancellor of UCLA!

Not only does Block support, condone and oversee the torture, agony and death of primates inside the laboratories at UCLA, but his own career was sealed in part by killing small mammals in human "biological clock" experiments. Gene Block ran a lab (which is still conducting these same sick experiments at the University of Virginia) where small mammals were locked in cages and forcibly kept awake by noise, light and other noxious stimuli for days on end so that vivisecting perverts like Gene Block could study why humans get tired when they fly to Europe! Wouldn't sheer common sense dictate that a change in routine and time zones affect mammalian circadian rhythms? No sh*t, Sherlock!

Problems and remedies impacting Homo sapiens' biological clock have been studied in depth (in humans!) and are known and understood globally - but these gruesome experiments on small mammals are still being carried out for those much sought-after "greenbacks." It seems that practically any vivisecting pervert can get grant money these days to torture and kill animals from the smallest of species to the largest - and Block just happens to be one exemplary member of the fetid class of psychopaths who make their obscene livings off the blood of non-humans.

Activists at Tuesday's event gave out over 500 leaflets, as this was one of the best leafleting venues in the recent past. Most everyone who took a flyer exposing Block and his support of primate torture at UCLA was stunned that he was scheduled to be the main speaker at the graduation. People from every walk of life - Hispanic, Black, Asian, and Caucasian - flocked to the ceremony in droves and were very appreciative of discovering who Gene Block really is and what he supports. Some of them stated things after reading the leaflet that even this poster (who is no prude) cannot repeat!

The banner - made especially for the occasion (seen in more pictures; click the link above) - was a big hit and galvanized public attention. One event-goer stated that he had just seen Gene Block minutes before and would be happy to give him one of the leaflets personally after the ceremony!
