AR 2007 CONFERENCE MULTIPLE-CAMPAIGN MOBILE DEMO WRAP
LOS ANGELES - P.A.T. sponsored an evening of demonstrations to coincide with the Animal Rights 2007 Conference held at the Airport Westin Hotel on Saturday, July 21st. The activists boarded a bus at 6:30 PM for a round of mobile demos which included one stop on behalf of the UCLA Primate Freedom Project (see www.UCLAPrimateFreedom.com) campaign. Spirits were high as activists shared camaraderie and prepared to stand up together in defense of the innocent animals tortured and murdered at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Activists picketed the neighborhood of the evil and reprehensible Arthur Rosenbaum, newly-discovered UCLA frankenvivisector who paralyzes the ocular musculature of primates with Botox injections and then artificially stimulates the primates eyes via electric coils glued on to their sclera in order to study 'strabismus.' The primates are held in stereotactic head restraint devices so they cannot move; and after they are experimented on by Rosenbaum they are then sold off to other vivisectors for more experiments. Strabismus, or "cross" eyes, is a self-limiting condition for which a simple and successful operation has long been known and practiced. Though the protest was legal and above-ground, police response was swift - as Arthur has been the recent recipient of an underground action by the Animal Liberation Brigade which allegedly targeted his luxury automobile with an incendiary device. The neighborhood was also reportedly evacuated twice because of later bomb threats. Primate experimentation is an immoral and scientifically fraudulent pursuit which tortures monkeys and retards significant advancement in human medicine. The United Kingdom may ban the use of Primate vivisection altogether in the near future.
